I am a lifetime resident of District 3 and a proud graduate of Highlands High School. As a single mother, I worked extra hard toward homeownership and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Master of Public Administration from St. Mary's University.
I've held various leadership roles in both the private and public sectors, to include experience as a retail manager and a council aide for District 3. I've stayed active in my neighborhood by volunteering as President and Vice President of my association and continue to serve as a board member. Because of my involvement in various community and education leadership trainings, I am aware of the urgent needs across the district. I am also prepared to use my knowledge in local government and management to effectively meet the immediate needs of our residents and business owners.
I humbly request your support and ask that you vote for me, Angela Cardona, to work for you, with you as our next District 3 Councilmember.
From health and wellness to financial literacy to property value protests, I will work to increase opportunities for our community to learn and grow together. By strengthening the wellbeing of our community on many levels, we can improve the overall quality of life for our residents. I will use my expertise in these areas to deliver results and provide solutions to the challenges our district faces.
We deserve safe streets, walkable communities, and rapid turnaround times from our first responders and City departments. I will work to bring about change by making these issues a top priority from Day 1 by following up on our request for a new substation and seeking your feedback along the way to increase Vision Zero measures along active corridors.
Using my knowledge in city zoning, planning, economic development and neighborhood services, I will continue to be a champion for equitable investments. We can be strategic about the investments we make in a way that will help bring balance and opportunity for ALL residents.
As your elected official, I will always be there to represent your voice in all issues, from senior and veteran services to quality daycare and housing. I want to hear from you, the residents, on how I can best serve your needs. We will work together to reduce the gaps and inefficiencies on these current services. I will fight and be your champion on these efforts at City Hall.
